Since I’ve tried quite a few facial oils in the past, I thought that I would give something different a try. I picked up this Ohria Ayurveda Shrikamya Facial Beauty Oil since I found it very interesting and have used it a couple of times. I thought of sharing my views on this oil today and so here I am.
I like applying facial oils on my extremely dry skin, especially during winters since they provide my skin with that extra nourishment and hydration. I apply them as the last step of my night time skincare routine and go to bed, waking up to beautiful, healthy and glowing skin.
Ohria Ayurveda Shrikamya Beauty Oil is enriched with rare ayurvedic herbs such as kasturi manjal, red sandalwood, yashtimadhu and harshringar flowers. Formulated using traditional Ayurvedic method, this oil promotes a healthy complexion, naturally lightens dark spots and pigmentation, while brightening the skin. Furthermore, it boosts collagen and leaves the skin smooth, clear, luminous and firm.

Packaging –Ohria Ayurveda Shrikamya Beauty Facial Oil comes in a small glass bottle with a dropper so it becomes easy to dispense the amount of oil I would like to use. However, since the bottle is made of glass, I need to be extra cautious while handling it and travelling with it seams a bit tricky since there are chances of it breaking. Apart from that, the packaging is all fine. The dropper also works great and provides a good control while dispensing the oil.
Consistency – The Facial Beauty Oil has a very thick consistency and feels very heavy on my skin. Even though I have extra dry skin, it feels too heavy and doesn’t get absorbed well into my skin. initially I took a couple of drops since I didn’t know how it would perform and my face looked like a pool of oil. But later even after I reduced the amount of product, it didn’t help much, and my face still kept feeling greasy.
Fragrance – It has a strong herbal and ayurvedic fragrance which is much overpowering. I honestly don’t mind the fragrance much since it has all natural and ayurvedic ingredients. I just wish it wasn’t this overpowering.
Quantity and price – This facial oil comes in a quantity of 30ml and costs ₹ 2750. I honestly feel it is on the pricier side and I wouldn’t recommend splurging on it so much. I wish it was priced somewhere in the middle and not this costly.
My overall thoughts on this product:
To be honest, I am not a huge fan of this oil. I didn’t like the fragrance, the consistency and how it feels on my skin. Also, the claims of skin lightening and firming don’t seem to be true. I have used it for more than two weeks and I didn’t find any difference on my skin, apart from it looking dewy and luminous.
I wouldn’t recommend trying out Ohria Ayurveda Shrikamya Beauty Facial Oil, even for people with dry skin. there are so many other better facial oils out there in the market that have similar claims, priced great and do not feel this oily on the skin.
